This past weekend was just what my body ordered. As always we had a Badger Hockey game on Friday night. We finally went to a place Scott has been begging to try. We grabbed dinner, went to the game, came home and went to bed early. On Saturday we woke up, worked out, and then prepared for a full day of Football, Basketball, and Hockey spectating. Hooray for a Badger Football win @ Michigan. Unfortunately, that was the only win we watched all weekend. The Badger Basketball team lost @ UNLV. The Badger Hockey team lost both Friday and Saturday night in Overtime to UMD. We also watched the Huskers lose at Texas A&M. It doesn't end there...our Vikings lost on Sunday to the Packers :( It was a tough weekend for our teams, but right now the most important team won!! Go Badger FOOTBALL!! Our weekend was low key and we loved every minute of it. After this crazy fall it was a much needed break. We needed to catch up on sleep, quality time together, and chores around the house. We also managed to put up all the outdoor Christmas lights before the weather gets cold and nasty. Sorry it's not a very exciting post, but it was the perfect weekend to get some much needed relaxation...
I'm even more excited for the short work week, Middleton Sport Bowl, Turkey Day, Black Friday, Badger Hockey, and Badger Football. Bring on the Thanksgiving celebration...
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone :)

Rayovac Box...YES please...
On Friday night our PHA (Personal Hearing Aid) department at Rayovac had the opportunity to sit in the company box. We took Nikki to Wando's for her first fishbowl and enjoyed many Spotted Cows. To enjoy a blast from the past we stopped at The City to enjoy a skyscraper at the end of the night. It was a fabulous Friday night of fun...

A new record...
83 points in a UW Badger Football game. The Badgers played Indiana yesterday and dominated. They broke a Big Ten record and a School record. Besides the rain it was a fun game. Only 2 more games this season...next week at Michigan...

One sick little puppy...
Our love for our baby girl runs very deep...deep in our pockets and much much deeper in our hearts. Yesterday we spent almost 6 hours in the 24 hour Emergency Vet Hospital. Our poor little girl got sick while we were at the Badger game and our neighbor stopped over at our house to find her and she wasn't doing well. We rushed home and she wasn't her normal self. Our little princess is always happy with her tail wagging and always up for some fun. She was barely moving and constantly getting sick. It's scary when your Vet is closed and you don't know what to do...so we were off to the Emergency Vet. She continued to get sick until we saw the Vet. It's crazy how much we love her, we were so worried. They did some lab work and injected her with fluids. They wanted to have her stay overnight with an IV but we refused. By the time we went home her tail was finally wagging again but that didn't last long. We didn't get much sleep last night but we are happy to say that today she is doing a little better. We are off to see our Vet tomorrow to make sure she's ok.
She finally ate today for the first time in almost 2 days and she has spent the majority of the day in her favorite spot...cuddled between her Dad's legs.

The Deck is Finished...
Hooray, we now have a deck on the back of our house! It was a short project (2 weekends) and we are so happy with how it turned out. We used cedar wood, made some benches around the hot tub, a punch out for the grill, and a baby gate for our puppy. It's roughly 16 feet by 14 feet. We are so happy with the results. Take a look at the finished product...

80's Hair Band & Sandy...
We had a small Halloween party this year with our fabulous friends from the neighborhood. Last minute costumes, some quick appetizers, and a fully stocked bar served for a perfect celebration. I was in Chicago all day with my Mom, Bridget, my Aunt Meaghan, Colleen and Karen so I was in the mood for some low key fun with little effort. This was the perfect solution...

The Deck...
This past weekend was the start of our deck building project. Our family friend, Jiggs, is building the deck for us. A few weeks ago we had to move the Hot Tub, a hard task, but I only had to supervise. He started on Thursday with the posts. Then on Friday the majority of the decking was completed. Unfortunately the rain came through Madison and the project was delayed for the remainder of the weekend. More pictures to come as the project continues...

A Minnesota Visit...
This past weekend we took a trip up to the Twin Cities to visit the Hinrichs' crew. We spent all day Saturday at the Gopher vs. Penn State game. It was a little weird wearing maroon and gold and not cheering for the Edgewood Crusaders. Although, it's ok to cheer for the Gophers if they aren't playing the Badgers, so we did. Unfortunately, the Gophers lost, but it was still a great day with family. We then went home and watched the Badgers BEAT Iowa!! It was an exciting game! Here are a few pictures from our tailgate...

10.18.08 - - - 2 years!
Last night we celebrated our 2 year Anniversary. We were both terribly sick but we were looking forward to celebrating so there was NO stopping us. We went to our favorite Steak House, Tornado Room - a Madison original. It was a very special day with many surprises, smiles, and laughs. These past 2 years have been incredible...
A special thanks to some amazing people that made our anniversary very special! You know who you are and we thank you for it. Also, thanks to everyone for the kind wishes...we are very blessed!
Happy Scott...so happy he forgot to open his eyes :)
