Minor details...make a HUGE impact...
A few dollars go a long way...when you install knobs! Our cabinets in our kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room were very plain and we decided to dress them up with some basic silver hardware. We started this project on my Birthday weekend. Jim helped Scott install the knobs in the kitchen and laundry room. We finished by installing extra knobs in the bathrooms. Here is our finished product...
Memorial Day Weekend...
Bike riding, painting, golfing, grilling, Farmers Market, and boating...that's how we spent our Memorial Day weekend.
There was rain in the forecast so we decided we'd make the best of the situation. I had been begging Scott to pain the Laundry room for years. We enter from our garage into our laundry room and it always looked so dull to me. I was so happy when he suggested that we paint on our "rain day". We painted it "fire dance". It's a burnt orange color. I wanted orange but once we got to the store most of the oranges were a little intense...so this is where we settled. I LOVE IT!!

The Man-O-Man-She family golf outing was on Sunday. It rained almost the entire time. My group managed to finish but Scott's group got rained out. The ladies finished first...out of default since we were only one of 2 groups to finish. It was fun to see family after the rain stopped...
Monday we went boating with our neighbors Garret, Jessamy, and baby Krew. It was the first time out this season. There was a lot of traffic on the lake because it was Memorial Day and the nicest weather for the weekend on Monday. It was also very windy on the water. Great times had by all...
A new passion...
Scott and I found a new passion - BIKING!!
Funny story - two years ago Scott bought be a purple bike for my Birthday. He bought the bike online and were in charge of assembling it. Assembling the bike was a GIANT disaster. We tried to ride the bike and it was a miserable experience. Nothing was done right. A few weeks ago Scott and I decided that my bike was wasting space in the garage and it was time to get the bike professionally assembled. After picking up the bike we went for a ride. Scott was so happy to find a way to exercise with me besides just running. We've gone biking almost every single day since we got my bike back. We've lived in Verona for 5 years and never realized that there are incredible bike paths EVERYWHERE! We've explored the Ice Age Trail, Military Ridge Trail, and we will continue to explore even more. The best part - there are many bars off the trails for us to stop at and quench our thirst :)
Check out some of these great trails...

Next week is BIKE TO WORK WEEK and I'm strongly considering it. I just need to figure out my route...

Summer is finally here...
You know it's summer in Madison when you can finally enjoy the Union on a nice night. Live music, local brews, and friends...what could get better?

Liberty Leaders 2011 - Boca Raton, FL
Congrats to Scott for winning the Annual Rewards Trip for his top sales once again. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. Since the day he started at Liberty Mutual he has been determined to be the best Insurance Agent he can be. He has successfully managed to win this recognition trip 8 times out of 8 years. Scott's efforts reward us with amazing trips year after year. He has the chance to speak with other successful agents within the company and it never fails to motivate him to work even harder once he gets back to the office. I am very fortunate to have such a hard working husband and I am constantly impressed by his determination to provide for us as a family. Here are some pictures to capture the once again incredible trip...

The Hall of Fame Dinner - this is the night when the Liberty Leaders are recognized for all their hard work and efforts for the previous fiscal year. At this time they induct members into the Liberty Leaders Sales Hall of Fame.
This year the Hall of Fame dinner was at Donald Trump's Mansion www.maralagoclub.com Donald spends almost every weekend at his 135,000 square foot mansion with 126 rooms. The weekend before we visited Heidi Klum and Seal renewed their vows here. When you walk into the mansion the first room has a 14kt gold ceiling. I've never seen so much gold in my life. It was beautiful and over the top. I wish I took more pictures, but check out the website to see more details...

The next day for our activity we decided to spoil ourselves with massages at the Spa. We spent the day at the Spa pool, had lunch at the restaurant that overlooked the golf course, and then went to the pool before dinner.
The last night - Taste of Boca
This was the most amazing night of food. Endless amounts of seafood, spices, and sushi. We danced until they kicked us out.

Cara's Health Update...
After many years trying to diagnose what was wrong with me...it was finally discovered after additional procedures @ UW Hospital. Bad news = good news...and now I can start taking the required meds to start being "normal" again. :)
