WE'RE HALF WAY THERE...

As Bon Jovi says "We're half way there..." Yesterday, September 19th marked a BIG milestone - 20 weeks! We've been looking forward to this day for a long time. We haven't seen the baby via ultrasound since our 8 week appointment and we couldn't wait to see "Baby H" again. It was incredible to see how much has changed over the weeks. We were very lucky that our doctor provided 4D pictures for us during the ultrasound. The pictures were so incredibly life like. The babies heartbeat was 155. Right away the baby wouldn't sit still for pictures. Watching the legs move was like watching someone ride a bike. Our baby is very active. By the time the technician tried to take pictures of the babies face she/he had become camera shy and kept her/his hands up at the face hiding. The big 20 week ultrasound is the time where couples can find out the sex of their baby. We have decided to wait for the baby's birthday to find out what we are having. I will try to scan the ultrasound pictures for your viewing...

Week 20

Week 19

Last week Scott painted the nursery, we picked up the crib, and got the dresser. It's slowly coming together...pictures to come soon!

Badgers in Chicago...

This past weekend we headed to Chicago for the Badger game @ Soldier Field vs NIU. We spent some time with Scott's fraternity brothers before the game. Tailgating in Chicago was a little different than tailgating back in Madison...we were on a yacht. It was nice to see Kinney, Zoelle, and Aflac. Within the past 6 months they've all had baby boys so we finally were able to meet the newest additions to their families. We went to the game, our tickets were fantastic...but the weather was much hotter than predicted. The Badgers won 49-7. After the game Bridget picked us up and we went back to her place to spend time with Lola and relax. It was so nice to spend some much needed time with my sister and her little "meatball".

One week late - Cara & Scott - Badgers vs. Oregon State game - September 10th

On the way home we stopped at IKEA for some baby room inspiration. We also couldn't leave town without a quick stop at Portillo's...yum!!

Hi Ho Hi Ho off to Stoltz Cabin We Go....

Labor Day weekend we headed North to Summit Lake, WI to the Stoltz cabin. It's 3 hours North of Madison. It's always interesting to go to up North Wisconsin. It's a different world up there, but it never disappoints. Trips to Larry's Bar, boating, bon fires, and the outdoors. It was a fabulous weekend, with a few rain showers. Here are some pictures...

Badger Football Kickoff - September 1st

September 1st - College Football Kickoff - GO BADGERS!

We were happy to be back in Camp Randall last Thursday night watching the Badgers. However, it was insanely hot for the first game this year. It was 95 with a heat index of 104 at kickoff, 7:00pm. Hopefully the rest of the season we have more typical Wisconsin Fall weather.

Roll out the Red Carpet...REMINGTON style!

It was a long time in the making...but my hard work finally paid off. I spent 9 long months with Rayovac in the Personal Hearing Aid division as an LTE Prospector. I loved the job, the people, and the experience but I needed a bigger challenge. I started to pursue open positions within the company and came across a perfect fit for a girl like myself. I am now an Account Manager for Remington Products. I sell all Remington Products to distributors, pharmacies, vendors, brokers, and companies throughout the United States. A few of my clients - Sharper Image, Overstock.com, Ace Hardware, and so many more. I started on June 20th and it's been a wild ride so far. I moved within the building but the two companies are very different. This position is constantly challenging but incredibly exciting. I sell haircare, men's shave, women's shave, men's grooming, brushes/accessories, and much more. Feel free to learn more about Remington Products here...

What will you be doing on February 6th?

Some people will be recovering from the Super Bowl on February 6th...but we could be celebrating the arrival of a little one! The new is out...we are expecting!

On May 31st - Memorial Day - we found out that we are expecting! At the time I was exactly 4 weeks along.

For all you "non believers" out there that need proof...(May 31st)

5 weeks - no sign of Baby O'Hinrichs yet...

Week 16 - 4 months - a very little baby bump - August 22nd

18 weeks - 4.5 months - September 5th

We are thrilled to welcome a little one into the world. Now that the news is finally out and we've had 2 doctors appointments, it's all starting to feel real. We hope to continue and update this blog with pictures, the transitioning nursery, and many exciting things along the way.

Our next doctors appointment - the BIG 20 week ultrasound on September 19th. The half way point...
