Snow Day 2011...
Scott's office was closed today and I stayed home from work. I wouldn't consider this a "vacation" because we woke up at 6:30am to start shoveling and snow blowing. The drifts on our backyard deck were taller than me and I'm 5'1". We had to clear the snow in order to let Kirby out to go to the bathroom. Poor Kirby was so confused. The ultimate goal of the day was to clear the snow by the hot tub so we could take a much needed dip after all the shoveling. It was a very long day and we are both sore from all the shoveling. Sounds like the Madison area had 17.6 inches of snow. Yikes...

Dogs, Snowblowing, & Baby?
Right now we are currently on shoveling/snowblowing and dog duty for our Neighbors. They reported to the hospital to have their baby boy yesterday...but there is still NO news to report. While we were over at their house tonight we snapped a few pictures on my phone to help make the Mama smile...we are sending positive thoughts and happy vibes to the new parents...
36 hours and counting...GO JESSAMY GO!! :)

The blizzard outside of their house...

Hello Snow...SNOW.M.G.?
New Mexico to New England...and right now here in the Midwest! I took a few pictures tonight and I can't imagine what it will look like tomorrow morning. We should get anywhere from 12-18 inches. They've already closed ALL schools...even UW is closed. Should make for a very interesting day. As of right now...I'm still going to work tomorrow because our office is OPEN...eeeek!
Tried to take a picture of the front yard...

Packers, Badger Hockey, and Stoltz Insurance
This weekend started with a Friday night Hockey game against Minnesota State (Mankato). We met Scrots & Carissa for some pre-game drinks and suffered the freezing cold walk to the Kohl Center. It was one of the coldest days this winter and we managed to make it to the game. The weekend continued with a visit from Mr. Kyle Stoltz Insurance and Alex Decker. I was very lucky to score 4 tickets to the Rayovac Box and we enjoyed every minute. Pre-game drinks, a Badger win, Pokey Stix, and a trip to Gray's Tied House. Scrots, Travis, & Razz joined us at Gray's after the game. It was an amazing visit from our bestest West Bend buddy...we miss you Kyle!!
Sunday continued a great weekend with a Packer victory and they are headed to the SUPER BOWL! We might not be Packer fans but we will cheer against the Bears any day! Go Packers :) It was a great game and it's been a great year in Wisconsin Football...

...ONE HAPPY ISLAND...
Hockey, Colts, and NFL Playoffs...
Finally a slow relaxing weekend! Friday night was spent with Razz & Palmer at the Hockey game. It was an uneventful game. We finally took our Christmas decorations down on Saturday, ran some much needed errands, and watched the Colts game with Casey. It was so nice to spend some time at home and do the things we've neglected to do. I love the Month of January because we can enjoy time relaxing time together. The only bad part is the freezing cold temperatures.
Happy Birthday to Razz - January 9th - :)

Rose Bowl--1.1.11
The Tournament of Roses - The Granddaddy of Them All!
The Badgers played in the Rose Bowl yesterday. We had the O'Malley Clan over to watch the game. It was a great day, a good game, and a tough loss. It was an incredible experience to cheer the team on this year. We rushed the field TWICE, once for the Ohio State victory, and again when we became co-Big Ten Champs. It was a great season, only 8 more months until the 2011 Season begins ;)

Happy 2011...
This year with the majority of our friends at the Rose Bowl we decided it would be a perfect year to do something low key. It was the most amazing day...we braved the horrible fog and went to HoChunk for a few hours. Then we came home and made our fresh Spicy Grouper and cocktail shrimp from the Seafood Center. We also had pomegranate spinach salad, our speciality potatoes, and pomegranate martinis. We continued to celebrate with a trip to the Neighborhood Bar with our neighbors, Garret & Jessamy. Jessamy was a big trooper, she is 9 months pregnant and rang in the New Year with us! Here are a few pictures...

Happy New Year!
Cheers to a happy and healthy 2011! Hopefully everyone keeps their New Years resolutions. :)
Sorry - I'm back...and Aruba
I'm so very sorry. It's been a quiet 6 weeks or so on our blog. We have been very busy this holiday season. I had to complete ALL of my Christmas shopping by December 9th because we went to Aruba with the O'Malley Clan for 7 days. Once we got back it was only a few days until Christmas. The 6 weeks included Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Tree/house decorating, Christmas cookie baking, Christmas shopping, Razz's Holiday party, Christmas Happy Hours, O'Malley Family Christmas, Hinrichs Christmas in Minnesota, Mandli Christmas, and New Years. I also managed to work and go to Boot Camp everyday. It was an incredible 6 weeks but I'm glad that our lives will finally slow down a little in the New Year...I've included a few Aruba pictures for your viewing...

Quality Time in the 53593...
This past weekend was just what my body ordered. As always we had a Badger Hockey game on Friday night. We finally went to a place Scott has been begging to try. We grabbed dinner, went to the game, came home and went to bed early. On Saturday we woke up, worked out, and then prepared for a full day of Football, Basketball, and Hockey spectating. Hooray for a Badger Football win @ Michigan. Unfortunately, that was the only win we watched all weekend. The Badger Basketball team lost @ UNLV. The Badger Hockey team lost both Friday and Saturday night in Overtime to UMD. We also watched the Huskers lose at Texas A&M. It doesn't end there...our Vikings lost on Sunday to the Packers :( It was a tough weekend for our teams, but right now the most important team won!! Go Badger FOOTBALL!! Our weekend was low key and we loved every minute of it. After this crazy fall it was a much needed break. We needed to catch up on sleep, quality time together, and chores around the house. We also managed to put up all the outdoor Christmas lights before the weather gets cold and nasty. Sorry it's not a very exciting post, but it was the perfect weekend to get some much needed relaxation...
I'm even more excited for the short work week, Middleton Sport Bowl, Turkey Day, Black Friday, Badger Hockey, and Badger Football. Bring on the Thanksgiving celebration...
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone :)
